We Believe

We believe:
 

1. You can find love, hope, peace and abundant life in and through Jesus Christ!
2. The importance of corporate worship and the integral part that Church, as an organization, plays in spreading the good news of Jesus and assisting believers in becoming more like Jesus in every way.
3. In the complete inspiration and inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures (both the Old and New Testament) in their original form.
4. In one living, sovereign God, eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father; God the Son, eternally begotten, not made, without beginning, being of one essence with the Father; and God the Holy Spirit, proceeding in the full, divine essence, as a Person, eternally from the Father and the Son. Thus each Person in the Godhead is fully and completely God.
5. In the Saviour of humanity, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully sinless in His humanity.
6. In the creation, test and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.
7. That Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day for our justification.
8. That no one comes to eternal salvation except through Jesus.
9. In salvation by grace, through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ, excluding human merit.
10. In water baptism of believers by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
11. In the Lord’s Supper, as a memorial for believers.
12. In the gifts of the Spirit as found in I Corinthians 12-14.
13. In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church.
14. In the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever.
15. In the reality and ministry of holy angels.
16. In the reality and personality of Satan and demons.
17. In the sanctity of marriage, as a life-long exclusive commitment between one man and one woman.
